UPCOMING EVENTS
Fairholmes Duathlons
This evening ‘race’ is intended to supplement your training with race simulations to enable the practice of transitions and to raise the intensity of training for short workouts.
Great for those new to the sport who would like to try out one discipline after another in a friendly club environment.
You will start off in an individual time-trial format, first running on the tarmac surface under the amazing Howden reservoir dam, up a moderate climb to the turn around point and back to transition (total 2.4km run) to get your bike and ride out on the quiet, but undulating tarmac road skirting the beautiful Derwent and Howden reservoirs to a wide turn around point before returning back to transition (15km), racking your bike and back out on the picturesque run again (2.4km).
Hathersage Aquathlons

Swim: 10 lengths of the 30m beautiful Hathersage lido Pool with views over the peaks = 300m then put your trainers on run out from Hathersage Pool heading along the paths out of the village before entering fields and following the river to the GOTRI flag and turnaround point. Run: 3km.
A great opportunity to meet members of Sheffield Triathlon Club and to practice in the area of the Hathersage Hilly Triathlon.
Hathersage Hilly 2024
Our annual flagship event in the beautiful countryside just outside Sheffield has introduced many novices to the joys of triathlon.
Don't let the name put you off - we have a 420m swim in a heated open air pool (Hathersage Lido), a 21Km bike ride with absolutely stunning views across the Peak District and a 6Km run that is almost completely off-road, much of it with no signs of humanity, other than the cheering volunteers.
The routes are quite hilly (pool excepted!) but oh so worth it!
